Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg has faced increased global criticism from both legislators and users regarding privacy and content management. Natasha Lamb, shareholder activist and managing partner of Arjuna Capital, cited political subterfuge, Fake News, hate speech and sexual harassment as major risks to Facebook’s brand and value. Despite these criticisms (and others), Zuckerberg voted against various proposals by shareholder activists around privacy and user data, instead rehearsing earlier comments given to Congress and the European Commission.
